Fun and easy In the Hoop Project for 4×4 and 5×7 hoops. This pattern set makes two different Mug Rugs and 2 different Coasters.
PLEASE NOTE – the photos show the sets from which these patterns are from. They DO NOT contain the bigger mats which are 6×10 and 9×12. The patterns contain the 2 smallest patterns in each set – a square coaster (4×4) and rectangular mug rug (5×7). If you are in any doubt please ask me before you buy and I will gladly help. The first ITH mat set has a square / rectangular frame sewn round it, it has a tight geometric quilting design and has hidden seams. These mats are made entirely in the hoop with the exception of an opening which you turn the mats right-side out after they are made. You then hand sew this small opening shut.
The second pattern set has a looser quilting pattern and is finished round the edges by a satin stitch. These mats are made entirely In the hoop
These patterns are a fantastic way to use all your pretty fabrics and make a festive table look really special. The also make great gifts or eye catching makes for a Christmas stall.
Closed Seam Set:
4×4 = 96.1 x 96.5mm = 2,762 stitches
5×7 = 172.5 x 114.4mm = 4,724 stitches
Satin Seam set:
4×4 = 97 x 97.9mm = 4,539 stitches
5×7 = 176.2 x 118.1 = 6,887 stitches
