Elves are everlasting Christmas characters. Year after year they will feature on Christmas themed decorations, as after all – they play such an important role in making the toys for Santa!

This is an In the Hoop (ITH) machine embroidery pattern, completed in one hooping, that features a set of two quirky little elves.

The Elves come in 2 sizes; large or small.

• The 5×7 hoop sews out 2 large elves at the same time.

• A second 5×7 hoop sews 4 small elves at the same time.

• The 8×12 sews 4 large elves at the same time.

This cheeky little elf applique is perfect for hanging on the Christmas tree as a decoration.

The larger elves are ideal for table or mantlepiece ornaments. By inserting the base of the large Elf into 2 wooden rings, they become freestanding. The 10mm wide wooden rings will need to have a diameter of 35mm / 1.4″ on the inner edge and 55mm / 2.17″ on the outer edge.

Don’t forget that the actual elf, can also be used as an appliqué and applied to  many other exciting projects!

The pattern comes with comprehensive instructions written in English, with photos that accompany each step.

5×7 with 2 large elves = 117.1 x 172.3 mm = 34,057 stitches

5×7 with 4 small elves = 112.5 x 175.9 mm = 37,756 stitches

8×12 with 4 large elves = 180.8 x 282.6 mm = 67,674 stitches
